Job Summary

The Software Development Managers primary responsibility is to manage the Software Development Department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of individual and department

1. Coordinate with the IT Manager, Project Manager and C.T.O on scope of projects.
2. Responsible for control of all software related projects throughout their life cycle.
3. Maintain best practices for the whole SDLC of projects under the Software Departments control.
4. Ensure QC on all deliverables.
5. Seek, communicate and utilise ideas on technology to aid in the company’s strategy.
6. Coordinate with other departments, assisting the Project Manager with Internal and External customer requests.
7. Training of staff and knowledge transfer where appropriate.

Working relationships:

Reporting to the IT Manager, the Software Development Manager will maintain close relationships with, IT Manager, Project Manager and CTO.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Bachelor degree or similar in computer science.
2. Proven knowledge and experience of web technologies
3. At least 5 Years in ASP.NET web development
4. Highly competent in XML and Web Services
5. Successful management experience
6. Ability to work to tight deadlines.
7. Ability to problem solved and be very analytical in its approach.
